SQMC partners Quality Scotland
The Scottish Quality Management Centre (SQMC) is proud to announce that it has joined Quality Scotland as a Partner in Excellence.
Fife-based SQMC becomes the fourth such Partner in Excellence; organisations who each provide expert training and guidance for Quality Scotland clients who have identified particular training needs through the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model.
The partnership will see SQMC support Quality Scotland by delivering bespoke ISO training to clients striving to achieve performance improvements and accreditations.
SQMC’s Director of Operations, Kenny Hannah said: “Quality Scotland and the Scottish Quality Management Centre were both established around the same time. Each organisation has its individual objectives within Quality Assurance learning and development, whilst sharing some common goals and an element of crossover.
“In fact, our Managing Director, Ian Hannah, was on the Board of Management that set up Quality Scotland, whilst he was running SQMC during our Stirling University days. It makes perfect sense for us to share resources. Therefore I'm very happy and confident that both organisations will work in partnership to bring the highest level of accredited Quality Auditor qualifications to Quality Scotland members.
“Whilst the courses will be primarily for Quality Scotland clients, our own clients will also have the opportunity to participate, in their convenient, central Edinburgh location."
Quality Scotland’s Director of Learning, Training and Development, Janet Robertson added: “At Quality Scotland we realise the importance of ensuring that we bring an appropriate range of high quality training opportunities to our members. In SQMC we have identified a partner who in delivering ISO training shares our passion for excellence, and we are very pleased to be working with them.”
Recognised as one of the UK’s leading providers of internationally accredited Quality qualifications, SQMC has been specialising in ISO Management Systems training for 25 years.
Quality Scotland has a current membership of over 200 companies, and continues to grow. The charitable, member-based organisation has been helping Scottish businesses to assess and recognise where quality improvements can add real value since 1991, by providing support, resources and expert advice and training from initial assessment to end goal and beyond.
