About your course
We look forward to welcoming you at our training facilities within Carnegie Conference Centre, Dunfermline, when you join us to gain or improve your understanding of Aerospace and Defence-specific Quality Management Systems on your AS 9100 Requirments Awareness course.
This is a single-day programme, beginning at 9.00 am, and closing by 5.00 pm. There are two 15-minute refreshment breaks (mid-morning and mid-afternoon), and at 12:30, a 45-minute lunch break.
Did you know that it takes an average of 23 minutes to refocus after interruption or distraction? This is the findings of a University of California Irvine study, and backs up what we've always found at SQMC, as professional trainers. For this reason, we politely request that all participants' mobile devices are switched to silent, during your training.
Please ensure to attend all sessions to qualify for your attendance certificate. By the way, if you’d like to purchase a duplicate certificate for your own personal files, please contact us directly to arrange it.
This course - which can be paired with an SQMC Quality Auditor course, if you'll require to carry out audits - provides a very helpful, real-world understanding of the meaning and application of the Standard's various clauses. The training is also a great platform for people not planning to audit the Standard but who themselves will be audited, are considering implementing an AS 9100 Quality Management System (QMS), or are simply starting a new position in which they'll be directly involved with the upkeep of their organisation's QMS.
Important: Please bring a copy of the AS 9100 (Rev D) Standard with you, to refer to during the training. If you/your company doesn't have your own, a library copy will be provided for the duration of the course.
To begin the day, we'll invite you to identify your own personal aims and objectives for your training, which your tutor will work hard to meet!

About the venue
Located just off Junction 3 of the M90 (click here to view on Google Maps) in the suburb of Halbeath, our training headquarters at Carnegie Conference Centre has ample, free parking, as well as reasonably-priced rooms at the on-campus Holiday Inn Express, for those requiring overnight accommodation. On arrival, please report to Reception to be directed to SQMC’s training room for your course.

We provide a two-course, hot buffet lunch in our restaurant.
