The final meeting of our 2012-13 Session is on Thursday of next week, when Andrew Ralston, Director Of IT Services at Wolfson Microelectronics will talk to us about ISO/IEC 27001:2005, "Information Security Management" and its importance in preserving the integrity, security and retrievability of information assets held by a company, whether owned by the company or relating to its clients; he will also lead us through his company's journey to implementation of an ISO/IEC27001 system.
Wolfson Microelectronics, headquartered in Edinburgh, employs over 420 employees working out of 12 locations worldwide with offices across Europe, the US, Australia and Asia. The company is a global leader in the supply of high performance mixed-signal semiconductor solutions to the consumer electronics industry including mobile phones, tablet computers, premier hi-fi equipment, gaming devices, MP3 players, flat panel televisions, digital still cameras and portable navigation devices.
We are sure you will find this a most interesting presentation!
The meeting will be followed by a short AGM (for which guests may stay but may not vote on any matters).
As usual, refreshments will be provided beforehand. Come along for a last opportunity to "network" before our summer recess!
