A fantastic hattrick from a French-Morroccan, combined with an impressive win by Fife neighbours, Cowdenbeath away at Peterhead, granted Dunfermline Athletic the well-earned honour of becoming the first league champions for the domestic football season in Britain.
For the past few months, SQMC have been proud to sponsor the Pars, the football club local to our national headquarters. We're very excited about next season, when - thanks to the efforts of the players, coaches, management and directors - our branding will receive an even wider audience as the team compete in 'the Championship' (Scotland's second tier).
This achievement is particularly remarkable when we consider that this grand sporting instution, formed 131 years ago, almost ceased to exist just three years ago. Poetically, Saturday's title clincher was three years to the day that the club entered administration; lost an array of its experienced first team, and was docked 15 points by the Scottish Football League - effectively relegating it.
However, under a new, fan-ownership business model, DAFC have bounced back strongly, with a record-breaking season and average home crowds not seen in the modern Scottish league's third tier (with the exception of Glasgow Rangers).
On behalf of all the staff and associates here at the Scottish Quality Management Centre, I would personally like to congratulate everyone involved at the club on their hard work and success, and wish them our very best wishes for progress in the Championship next season!
